Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Bob Folse is based out of South Florida .
While his first love is Flamenco , Bob’s music also includes classical, jazz, rock and world influences.
The star of many stages in South Florida and around the world, Bob performs solo and with his group,”Los Gitanos De Fuego”. He has opened for Ottmar Leibert, Tito Puente,and Acoustic Alchemy. His performances include popular themes as well as original music and he dazzles his audiences with his fingers of fire!!!! His solo interpretations are spellbinding and his ensembles always have a wonderful diversity. He has produced and recorded his own CD’s “Fuego”, “Sentimientos” and has sold thousands worldwide!!!
Bob began his formal studies of music at Loyola College of Music in New Orleans and then continued on to Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts where he graduated in 1990. Privately he studied Classical guitar with Elias Barriero from Cuba and has travelled to Spain many times to study with Flamenco masters including Manolo Franco,Paco Serrano,and Gerardo Nunez.
He has performed at major music festivals including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and Sun Fest in Palm Beach and has travelled internationally to perform in concert.
Bob Folse has been the recipient of numerous arts grants and has traveled to Spain to study with world class masters of the Flamenco guitar.
